It starts with a gendai-jûnicho by Claudia Brefeld and Gabriele Hartmann with the title:
A gendai-jûnicho, also called New-Jûnicho, consists of 12 verses. 6 verses are each assigned to a cultural area of art, film, literature, music, politics, religion. Furthermore, 2 verses are written in the Gendai style: modern in structure, tone and content, and 4 verses in the Shasei style, ie drawn from life or as Shiki required it: a description, sketching of nature “as it is ". The first three verses, the hokku, the wakiku and the daisan, and the last verse, the ageku, are of particular importance in terms of quality.
